Do you ever wonder why there is always someone "making it big" in larger cities? It is because large cities have more agents, record
companies, movie industries, and modeling agencies to help a talented individual reach his or her full potential. Big talent comes from
all over; the newest star could be the firefighter who saved a school a month ago, but now is starring in a new tv drama. Or, it could
be your neighbours newborn child doing a commercial for Gerber. PEI Fashion Week allows the stars of tomorrow to showcase their
talent right here in our own community! Our organization is dedicated to raising funds for different charities such as The MS
Society of Canada and Juvenile Diabetes, by highlighting the local talent on Prince Edward Island.
PEI Fashion Week began as a team of two in October, 2006 and has grown to a team of six professionals from all facets of the fashion
business; business, administration, and the customer service industry. Each year, we hold an evening gala highlighting local models,
fashion designers, dance companies, artists, and musicians.
All proceeds from PEI Fashion Week's ticket sales, fundraising campaigns, and even unsolicited donations benefits a worthy cause. One
lucky child's wish will be granted through this year's chosen charity: The Children's wish Foundation. It takes $10,000 to grant a
child's wish and currently there are 18 in Prince Edward Island waiting for their dreams to come true.
PEI Fashion Week is a chance for our communities to come together and support a broad range of people in their talents, wishes and
even heartaches. Watch and listen for us, and come and join us for yet another successful, sell-out event!
